This understated kimono is probably from a contemporary era. The kimono is made from fine damask silk and it is depicted with a small "matchstick" pattern. The pattern was executed by a traditional stencil-dye technique called katazome. The colors you find on the kimono are sage green, white, and brown. The kimono is fully lined with white silk and gray-lavender chirimen silk. It is in excellent condition. The dimensions are:
Width (Sleeve to Sleeve): approximately 48.5"
Length: approximately 60.5"
Sleeve Length: approximately 18"
Body Width: approximately 24"
