This cheerful kimono is from the early Showa period (1926-1988). The kimono is made from very fine damask and chirimen silk depicted with origami cranes and water patterns as the background. The design of the kimono is created with the beautiful stencil dyed technique. Large peonies are placed over the entire kimono, which indicates that the kimono was worn by relatively a young single woman. The kimono is lined with fine red silk. It is in excellent condition.
