This dynamic design summer kimono is probably from the early to the mid 1900s. The kimono is made from fine "ro" silk and it is depicted with a repeated pattern of dynamic ocean waves in black and white with a touch of brick orange and lemon yellow. The design was executed by traditional katazome (stencil dye) technique. It is relatively rare design kimono and as traditional there is no lining on this summer kimono. There is very light stains at the bottom of the kimono otherwise it is in excellent condition.
