This women's formal Tomesode kimono is probably from the early Showa era (1926-1988). The kimono is made from chirimen silk and it is depicted with a colorful mountain scene. On each side of the scene includes a beautiful mountaintop with a temple pagoda along with colorful plum blossoms and maple and pine trees. There are also large chrysanthemums at the bottom. A large court carriage is placed on one side with minimal embroidery. The dominant colors on the exterior are red, pink, olive green, orange, burgundy, taupe, gray, ivory and gold against the solid black background. The design continues to the bottom of the interior. The interior of the kimono is fully lined with red silk. The kimono has five family crests. It is in excellent condition. The dimensions are:
Width (Sleeve to Sleeve): approximately 49"
