This dynamic design summer kimono is probably from the early to the mid 1900s. The kimono is made from fine "kobai" silk and the very contemporary look-design was executed by traditional Katazome stencil dye technique. The dominant colors you find on this kimono are red, yellow, light blue, and deep eggplant against navy blue background. As tradition, this summer kimono has no lining (hitoe). It is in excellent condition.
