This modern-design-like kimono is probably from the early 1900's. The kimono is made from fine silk and it has an abstract design in black and deep blue against the pumpkin orange background. There are some sparkle silver yarn patterns under the main design (very subtle). The design of the kimono was entirely executed by hand-stencil dye technique (katazome). The kimono is fully lined with a red silk fabric at the top and a terracotta peach at the bottom. The kimono is in excellent condition.
