This lovely and elegant kimono is probably from the contemporary time (after WWII). The kimono is made from fine chirimen silk and it has an abstract design of small dots and lines in white and blue against the purple background. The entire design was executed by hand-stencil dye technique (katazome). The kimono is fully lined with a fine ivory silk fabric at the top and lavender silk at the bottom. The kimono is in excellent condition.
