This kimono is from Taisho Era (early 1900s). The exterior of the kimono is made from fine chirimen silk in a deep eggplant purple. The patterning includes fine lines and abstractive motifs. The interior is lined with a fine red silk and a grayish-lavender silk fabric at the bottom. The bottom hem is slightly quilted for warmth in the winter. The kimono is relatively light weight and it is in excellent condition.
