This lovely kasuri (ikat) kimono is probably from the early to mid 1900s. The kasuri is made from indigo-dyed hand-woven cotton fabric and the origin of this particular kasuri is more likely from Iyo (the western shikoku-island). The pattern you find on this kimono is a gourd pattern with some abstract designs. There is no lining in the interior of the kimono as it was probably worn in warm seasons. It is in excellent condition. The dimensions are: Width (Sleeve to Sleeve): approximately 47" Length: approximately 55" Sleeve Length: approximately 26.5" Body Width: approximately 23.5" Please e-mail us if you have any questions, desire additional images or information. info@ichoya.com ![]() PATTERN DETAIL ITEM# MISC 401 $220.00 |
