This absolutely cheerful fukuro obi is probably from the late Showa era (1926-1988). The obi is depicted with large butterflies flying over an abstract vertical linews. It is beautifully woven with gold, silver, orange-red, orange, light lime green, and yellow gold threads against solid black. The reverse side and approximately 1/3 of the front side are also solid black, as most of fukuro obis are. It is in excellent condition.
