This lovely fukuro obi is probably from the contemporary era (after WWII). The obi was hand-woven from fine silk and the design depicts large hexagon shape with a floral motif surrounded by small floral motifs and phoenixes. The dominant colors on the obi are red, orange, tea green, gold, silver, and light blue against the black background. The design on the obi continues over the two-third of the obi and the rest is solid black. The reverse side is also solid black. It is in excellent condition.
