The satin silk of this obi truly creates a rich appearance yet the color, deep khaki-brown, helps to balance an elegant and modest impression. The patterns are somewhat abstract but still they are recognizable floral and plant motifs. Obi is made from fine silk and is very light weight. Ca. Late 1800s to Early 1900s.
