We brought this lovely sakiori piece from our latest trip to Morioka-city in the Japanese Tohoku region. This beautifully woven sakiori textile was originally a part of kotatsu-heater blanket, so the size of this textile indicates the original length of the blanket itself. The width is apparently much wider than average sakiori obis. The color of this textile is predominantly red and orange and they are highlighted with turquoise blue and muted colors. Ca.
