This beautifully and dynamically designed sakiori obi was found in Morioka-city in the Japanese Tohoku region. The obi shows a pattern of black, red, and white stripes and the unevenness of the strips also helps to an earthy folk-art appearance. Ca. Early to mid 1900s. Dimensions: 6.5" wide and 116" long.
