Notes/Remarks: This type of Japanese armrest has almost disappeared in contemporary homes due to continuous westernization of the everyday life-style. Obviously, you must be sitting on a tatami mat to take an advantage of this resting stool. The condition of the piece is great and it could be made into an unique display stand. The grain of the wood is so beautiful and the overall design is very utilitarian base yet it certainly possesses an elegant nature.
